Scarlet Temple (Alternanthera Reineckii Rosaefolia)
Scarlet Temple (Alternanthera Reineckii Rosaefolia)
AR Rosaefolia is an Alternanthera Reineckii variety. Because of its brilliant and intense red colors, this plant is widely used in Dutch aquascapes. The white vein-like decorations on the leaves distinguish it. For best growth, it, like other stem plants, requires medium to high light with the addition of CO2. It can grow emersed or submerged and can reach a height of 8 inches.
Propagation is similar to that of any other stem plant; simply cut the stem and replant.
