CORYDORAS CATFISH
Corydoras, or “Cories,” are peaceful bottom-dwelling catfish that are perfect for community and planted aquariums. They’re social, active, and constantly foraging.
CARE BASICS
• Tank Size: 20+ gallons (depending on species)
• Temperature: 72–78°F
• pH: 6.0–7.5
• Water Type: Clean, well-oxygenated, stable water
GROUPING
• Must be kept in groups of 6 or more
• Larger groups = more natural behavior and less stress
SUBSTRATE
• Soft sand is ideal (protects their sensitive barbels)
• Avoid sharp gravel
DIET
• Sinking pellets, wafers, frozen foods (bloodworms, brine shrimp)
• They are not algae eaters and need targeted feeding
TANK SETUP
• Peaceful tankmates only
• Plants, driftwood, and shaded areas appreciated
• Gentle flow
