Flame Moss (Taxiphyllum sp. “Flame”)
Flame Moss is a unique and eye-catching aquarium moss known for its vertical, twisting growth that resembles small green flames. Its upright form makes it stand out from other mosses and adds height and texture to aquascapes. It looks great attached to driftwood, rocks, or used as an accent in nano and shrimp tanks.
Care Instructions
• Difficulty: Easy
• Lighting: Low to Medium
• CO₂: Not required (beneficial)
• Growth Rate: Slow to Moderate
• Temperature: 68–82°F (20–28°C)
• pH: 5.5–7.5

Planting & Care Tips
Flame Moss should be attached to hardscape using thread, mesh, or aquarium-safe glue. It does not root and should not be buried in substrate. Moderate water flow helps keep its signature upward “flame” growth. Liquid fertilizers improve color and density, while CO₂ will encourage faster, fuller growth.
