NEOCARIDINA SHRIMP

Neocaridina are hardy, colorful freshwater shrimp that are perfect for both beginners and experienced hobbyists. They’re peaceful, active, and great for planted tanks.

CARE BASICS
    •    Tank Size: 5+ gallons (larger is always better for stability)
    •    Temperature: 68–78°F (ideal ~72–75°F)
    •    pH: 6.5–7.8
    •    GH: 6–10 | KH: 2–6
    •    Water Type: Stable, clean, well-cycled water is key

DIET
    •    Algae, biofilm, and shrimp-specific foods
    •    Supplement with blanched veggies or mineral foods 1–2x per week
    •    Avoid overfeeding

TANK SETUP
    •    Heavily planted tanks are ideal (moss, buce, anubias)
    •    Provide hiding spots for molting and babies
    •    Gentle filtration (sponge filters preferred)

BREEDING
    •    Very easy to breed in stable conditions
    •    Females carry eggs for ~3–4 weeks
    •    Babies hatch as tiny versions of adults
