Staurogyne Repens

Common Name: S. Repens

Low-growing aquatic plant Staurogyne Repens is a native of South America. Small, spade-shaped, and light green are the characteristics of the leaves. S. Repens has a compact growth habit and, with enough light and nutrients, can develop into a dense shrub covered in emerald-green leaves. Only a few inches will be added to the height of each stem. S. repens is frequently utilized as a foreground or midground plant because of its growth style.

A flexible plant, S. repens may flourish in both submerged and emersed conditions. Make sure to give the plants enough time to change. To prevent this plant from growing too tall, it needs strong illumination and CO2 injection. Lack of lighting is indicated by vertically developing thin stalks, and nutritional malnutrition may be shown by fading leaves. Thin leaves may also indicate a deficiency in CO2. When grown properly, this plant can expand swiftly and need regular trimming. Trimmings can be propagated by replanting them.
