Ludwigia Ovalis

Oval Ludwigia is the common name for this plant.

Oval Ludwigia is a low-maintenance plant that is ideal for tank nerds who want to add color to their aquascape without the effort of colorful plants. These plants are suitable for the tank's front zones. Their vibrant hue makes an excellent focal point. The oval leaves of ludwigia plants grow in alternating pairs along a tilted stalk. Depending on the tank conditions, the leaves might be gold, orange, or red. When planted in bunches of 10-12 stems, these plants look fantastic.

Oval ludwigia is a versatile plant, but to get the desired brilliant colors, sufficient lighting and fertilizer levels are required. A high iron concentration will highlight the plant's crimson tones. CO2 injection is not essential for the growing of this plant, however it can aid in its growth. The plant can be either submerged or emersed, however the latter is far more difficult to nurture.

Plants can be propagated by taking cuttings from the main stem and replanting them in the substrate.
