Ceratopteris Siliquosa / Indian Fern Lace
Common Name: Water Sprite
Indian Fern, sometimes referred to as Water Sprite, is a simple aquatic plant that is frequently seen floating in lakes and ponds all over the world. Because the Water Sprite's roots system is less robust than that of other aquatic plants, it depends on its leaves to take up nutrients from the water column. For those who raise shrimp and fish, this floating stem plant is a great addition. It expands quickly to take up more nutrients and trash from the water column while also giving fry or shrimplets places to hide.
