Red Root Floaters sandwich bag portion
The red Root Floater is a lovely floating plant with light green leaves that, when kept in bright light, can turn blood crimson. The blood crimson roots that this plant possesses as opposed to the customary brown roots of other floaters are what distinguish it and make it so highly sought for.
This tiny floating fern can grow quickly, forming thick mats that cover the tank's top and obstruct light from below. It works well as a shade plant to stop algae growth in paludariums and low-tech aquariums.
A tank with a lot of surface agitation will not support these floating plants since they demand low flow.
