Nesaea Pedicellata Golden
Nesaea Pedicellata 'Golden' gets its name from its greenish golden leaves that flow along a pinkish red stem. This aquatic plant, native to West Africa, has been in the trade for a while and adds a beautiful splash of color to a planted aquarium. This aquatic plant is fairly hardy and can grow in a variety of water conditions, but it favors a temperature range of 70-78 degrees Fahrenheit. Medium to high lighting, as well as a nutrient dense aquarium soil and fertilizer schedule, should be provided to bring out strong colors. Nesaea Pedicellata Golden is a treasure and a lovely way to bring a broad palette of colors to a planted aquarium, as there are very few golden colored aquatic plants.
Similar to other aquatic stem plants, it can be propagated by carefully trimming and replanting into aquarium dirt. Trimming should be done on a regular basis to stimulate and produce bush-like growth.
