This is a one-of-a-kind stem plant with saw-toothed leaves. Depending on the sunlight and nutrition, colors can range from a strong solid red to a softer golden green. When you add iron supplements to your tank, the leaves turn redder.

This plant provides excellent background coverage, particularly in a Dutch-style aquascape where the distinctive leaves provide a nice contrast to other plants.

Like other stem plants, propagation is easy and straightforward. Simply clip the cuttings along the stem and replant them.
