Java Fern Plant and Mats
Common Name: Java Fern
Microsorum Pteropus
Due to its beauty and ease of maintenance, java fern is one of the most often used aquarium plants in the hobby. They may thrive in a variety of water parameters and low light levels. The smaller leaves of the micro variant make it ideal for tanks of any size.
Using thread or glue, the plant can be directly affixed to rocks, driftwood, or any other aquarium decoration. Rhizomes must remain above your substrate for the plant to avoid rotting. Rhizomes can be easily propagated by cutting or pulling them apart to be replanted.
