Hygrophila Araguaia
Hygrophila Araguaia
Araguaia is a rare midground or background plant named after the Brazilian river where it grows. Hygrophila can grow both emersed and immersed. This plant can develop a deep pink to reddish brown coloring when grown submerged and under correct conditions. It has the look of a stem plant, yet it grows in short bushes, which can offer a wonderful bush effect to the middle of your aquarium.
This Hygrophila will produce stunning purple flowers when grown emersed in the correct conditions.
Propagation can be accomplished by cutting the lateral shoots and replanting them, or by cutting along the stem and replacing them.
