Crinum Calamistratum
An intriguing bulbous plant called Crinum Calamistratum is native to Central Africa. This unusual plant is identified by its ruffled, thin leaves that emerge from an onion-like bulb. Even though it is one of the smallest Crinum species, the leaves may still get very long, making it a good background plant for both big and small tanks.
The use of CO2 supplementation will help this particular kind of Crinum, which grows very slowly. It can be multiplied by detaching the tiny daughter plants from the primary bulb and replanting them. Beautiful white blooms that grow above the water column can be produced by this plant. High light, soft water, and the addition of CO2 are claimed to aid in encouraging this plant to flower.
