From Madagascar comes the tall-growing bulb plant known as Aponogeton Boivinianus. Since it lives in rapidly moving water in the environment, your aquarium should have some flow. The ruffled texture of the plant's leaves, which emerge in shades of bright green or red and darken to an olive hue as they age, help identify it. This plant is the ideal background element for larger tanks due to its vast size and rough texture.
To encourage growth, the substrate should be covered with the lower half of the bulb. To prevent bulb rot, avoid totally submerging the bulb.
