Ammania Senegalensis

Ammania Senegalensis is a new plant to the hobby with red leaves that contrast beautifully with green foliage. This plant has wavy-edged oval leaves that alternate up the stalk. The leaves are brilliantly colored and can have a variety of colour patterns, with dark, brick red being the most common. This plant's colour also includes green, orange, and yellow.

High lighting and fertilizer levels are required to get the desired color and growth. A high iron concentration will highlight the plant's crimson tones. CO2 injection is not essential for the growing of this plant, however it can aid in its growth. The plant can be grown in either submerged or emersed conditions.
