Amazon Sword

Due to their beauty and ease of maintenance, amazon sword plants are particularly popular in the aquarium hobby. They provide an aquascape's background with superb and lovely covering. The leaves of these plants are long and oval with a pointy tip, and they have short stems that grow in a rosette. Their leaves have distinct veins, a dark or bright green color, and a form that leans somewhat wavy.

Because they can grow to be quite enormous, amazon sword plants are ideal for big aquariums. If they are not routinely clipped, their huge leaves could quickly obstruct the light that other plants need to grow. These plants spread through the trimming and replanting of side branches that develop from their leaves. You can prune the side shoots and older leaves from your Amazon sword plant to manage its size.

These plants can tolerate most lighting conditions in a substrate rich in nutrients, but moderate to high lighting is optimal. Although it is not necessary, CO2 injection will aid in the plant's accelerated growth. Whether submerged or emersed, Amazon sword plants will flourish. White blooms are produced by emersed plants.
